Information we process
- Guest account information. The game creates a guest player identifier and session credentials. The service processes your display name, selected character or cosmetic, and game profile information. Guest play does not require an email address or a real name.
- Multiplayer and gameplay information. Matchmaking requests, match and session identifiers, game inputs, in-game positions, gameplay events, connection status, and match results are exchanged with the game service.
- Connection information. Network services process an IP address to deliver requests and limit abuse. When available from a trusted network provider, a coarse country or region code may be used for an in-game region flag. This is not GPS or precise device location.
- Support messages. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any details or attachments you choose to include.
The app also stores preferences, tutorial progress, and local game information on your device. Guest session credentials are kept in the device’s Keychain.
How information is used
Information is used to establish and maintain your guest session, run matchmaking and multiplayer games, synchronize gameplay, display results and player identity, apply your choices, and respond to support requests. Gameplay and diagnostic events also help us understand how the game is used, investigate failures, improve performance, and protect the service from misuse.
Multiplayer and network services
Online play requires communication with an authoritative game server. Other players in a match can see information needed for shared gameplay, such as your display name, character, in-game actions, results, and any available region flag. Choose a display name that does not reveal sensitive personal information.
Guest identifiers and session credentials allow the service to recognize your session. They are not advertising identifiers.
Gameplay analytics and diagnostics
The app sends authenticated gameplay and interaction events to the game service. These can include session and match activity, tutorial completion, disconnects and reconnects, app version and build, phone or tablet category, and frame-timing measurements. Events can be associated with your guest player identifier, session, or match.
The release app uses Apple’s MetricKit to receive crash and hang diagnostics. It forwards bounded summaries, such as the diagnostic type and count, through the game’s analytics service. That summary path does not upload raw diagnostic call stacks.
Service providers and this website
BubbleTails uses Render for multiplayer hosting and Cloudflare for website delivery and network services. The game-service configuration also includes operational telemetry sent to an administration service hosted with OpenAI Sites. Hosting and network providers process the information needed to deliver, secure, and operate those services.
This support website has no advertising, analytics scripts, forms, or embedded third-party content. Cloudflare processes ordinary web requests, including network and request information, to serve and protect the site. Email support is handled through the email services used by you and our support mailbox.
The current app does not include advertising or cross-app advertising tracking, in-app purchases, push notifications, photo uploads, or precise-location access. It does not request access to your camera, photo library, or contacts for gameplay.
Retention and your choices
Guest profile and session information supports ongoing access to the game. Temporary network and matchmaking information is used for service operation; gameplay results and diagnostic records support reliability and abuse investigations. Retention varies by the type of information and the storage or hosting service. We do not state a single fixed retention period for all records.
You can use Delete Account in the game’s Settings to request deletion of your guest account. You may need to finish or leave an active match first. Successful deletion removes the account profile and stored session credentials; the server’s deletion process also removes related account records and replaces the account identifier in retained aggregate match results. Account deletion is permanent.
Operational logs, provider backups, and support correspondence may have separate retention schedules. For questions about information still held, or to request access, correction, or deletion, email us. Please provide only the details needed to identify your request; never send session tokens or passwords.
Children and age considerations
BubbleTails is an online multiplayer game. Guest play does not ask for a date of birth, so the service does not establish a player’s age through guest registration. Parents and guardians should review the game’s App Store age rating and online features before allowing a child to play.
If you are a parent or guardian with a question about a child’s information, or believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us to request a review or deletion. Children should ask a parent or guardian for help before sending a support email or attachments.
Security
The app uses HTTPS and secure WebSocket connections for its production services, authenticated session credentials, and device Keychain storage. These measures help protect information, but no network or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not share your session credentials or send sensitive personal information in a support message.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as BubbleTails or its services change. The current version will be available on this page with an updated effective date.
